REACH supports adolescents through emotional awareness, practical coping skills, guided modules, and connected support.
Evidence-informed lessons that strengthen emotional awareness and coping.
Caregiver-friendly resources and activities designed for how kids connect today.
Guided pathways and referral resources to connect teens with the right help.
REACH was born from a simple but urgent truth that we witnessed firsthand across inpatient units, emergency departments, school hallways, and community clinics: adolescents are struggling, and the adults who love them most often feel powerless to help.
As psychiatric nurses, we have sat with families in crisis and watched the same patterns repeat — not because caregivers don't care, but because no one ever gave them the tools. We created REACH to change that.
REACH is a quality improvement initiative developed through the Texas Christian University Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Every module is grounded in peer-reviewed evidence and designed for the real world — practical enough for a parent on a Tuesday night, and rigorous enough to stand up in a clinical setting.
“We don’t just want to inform caregivers — we want to transform the way they show up for the young people in their lives. When adults feel confident, connected, and equipped, everything changes for the child.”
Our hope: that every caregiver who completes REACH walks away with the clarity, confidence, and compassion to build resilience in the young people who need them most — before crisis ever begins.
Adolescence is a time of growth — and pressure. REACH creates a supportive bridge between awareness and action, giving teens the skills and confidence to navigate challenges before they become overwhelming.
We partner with educators, clinicians, and community leaders to deliver adaptable resources, meaningful conversations, and connected pathways that meet teens where they are — and help them move forward.
